hiya..I prefer to see the front of the car when I open the garage door and was wondering if there is any problem in reversing the car into the garage? Would take about 20 seconds to park due to stuff in the garage
cheers

Turn off the parking sensors, fold in the wing mirrors and beware of the fat backside

I tend to drive it in front first due to my drive and garage at the end sitting on a bit of a slope,
so trying to maintain the clutch lifespan but driving it in forwards rather than reversing.

Also on start-up when warming up, I rather the exhaust fumes come straight out the garage door than circulating in the garage.

No dont do it, unless you like the smell of a burning clutch!

I always reverse in as I can judge the nearside to get close to the wall by dropping the windows and watching in the mirror. You can also put a mark on the wall at mirror level aligned with the mirror when you are fully back, although my PDC does not activate until I am about 18" from the rear anyway. This gives me maximum door swing to get out of the car and the mirrors then fold when I lock it.

You can also suspend a tennis ball from the roof to touch your rear screen when fully back too. I prefer not to rely on floor wedges just in case they get moved, and I don't want to bolt them down.

I also find it more convenient to connect to the maintenance charger when reversed in and easier to fit the car cover when the car is clean and dry.

I've been doing it for six years. I have a choice of uphill or downhill 90 degree turn into the garage. Downhill every time. Uphill results in bad clutch smell, however careful I am.

I read somewhere that if you're an AM driver there are set rules to follow when out in the wild - and always reversing into a space is one of them.

I have to reverse into my folks garage as it is super narrow (I'm currently looking at upgrading the doors for "them" to increase width). The clutch can get a little warm sometimes.

I agree though, the front looks far better wink

Is this your announcement of the purchase of a Vanquish? I remember seeing a post that you were selling the DBS, but nothing about the Vanquish.

Congratulations. Very nice. One of of my neighbours who bought his first DB9 a year or so before me, upgraded to an 09 DB9 six months before I bought my new V12V in 2011 and he has just replaced the DB9 with a brand new Vanquish. One of my partners also bought one recently. From that sample of three, I deduce that they are selling!
