A superb weekend was had at the 50th weekend bash. Had a chat with Alan and also Nigel with his new purchase. The weather was fantastic and both Shuttleworth and Millbrook excellent. It's the furthest the Wedge has been since I've owned it but I had two issues - first was the petrol surging out of the filler cap when running around the Millbrook banking at 90mph, the second was a random hesitant misfire on the journey home. It felt like an intermittent electrical fault, similar to the issue I had 8 months ago which turned out to be the coil. I did give it a good thrashing around the alpine circuit, banked bowl and mile straight so not sure if I've cooked something? The investigation will start tonight.

What speed did everyone reach on the mile straight? I just managed 125 on my third attempt.

Looking great!
Did you have to change the hubs to get the cerb wheels on? Just thinking, as I have a set in the garage.
Steve.

I've had a set of hubcentric wheel spacers made up at work to match the cerb centre bore to the wedge hub, then used PCD correction nuts to correct the slight difference in PCD (check out the photos in "another body off") works well less vibration that with my bent split rims and cost less than refurbing one wheel !

A very disappointing 108 before I started braking at the 3/4 mile mark. Not impressed with the old nail. More power is needed.......

Maybe with the headlights down we would have better aerodynamics?
