Just wanted to pass on my thanks to the owner of P500 HOT (I think you said your name was Simon?).

Wasn't the best start to the day as I had just picked up my Griff 500 and managed a mere 80 miles to the M40 (still 400miles still to go to Scotland!!!) before the Beast decided he wanted to show who was boss and wouldn't go an inch further.

Then something a bit spooky happened. Just 10mins after my Red Griff 500 (P500 HAC) had called it a day, along came another Griff 500....this time in Green but reg P500 HOT. Weird!

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for stopping and helping out.

How'd you know it was me? I hadn't even transferred or mentioned my old Reg on the car yet?

Good to be back. That was a long old year without a TVR. Still, enter LUCIFER! Got a few things to do with the Griff and sorting out the Registration just now but hope to be about soon!

First thing I did when I got it back was wash it!

Second thing I did when I got it back was take the roof off and bung it in the boot.

So what was wrong then?

Car suddenly lost all power in the outside lane of the M40 (Not a good thing!!!!). Managed to get to the hard shoulder but car refused to start.

Sounded like a lack of fuel as car wouldn't fire. Bit more investigation suggested a fuel pump issue as the fuel pump wasn't priming when you turned on the ignition. Usual 'hammer approach' did nothing so had to wait till the car got back to Scotland.

After some suggestions my trusty Mondeo supplied a relay (used for the Mondeo Starter) and this turned out to be the cause. Usual simple electrical failure in a TVR so used to it. Mondeo wouldnae go anywhere but at least the Griff was running!
