996.2 GT3 Diff

Hello guys,

Looking for some advice.

It appears my diff on my 996 GT3 is now knackered.

Who is the best for rebuilding these?

I am in the north east of Scotland.

Funny that genuine made me laugh, North East Scotland to south of the M25 to have a diff fitted. There must be some where closer for the poor chat.

Mike at Sports and Classics also does good work on GT3s and probably half the trip, but still a long way for a diff fitting.

Been in touch with mike at sports and classics and he is top of my list.(Cheshire so 5 hour drive)

Was just curious to know if there was any specialists in Scotland with a good reputation

Speak to Stuart at SPAutobahn and see if he can recommend someone. Pretty sure George Morrison in Glasgow deals with most mechanical things, motortune at Shotts may also be able to help.

Another vote for Mike at S&C. I crated and shipped my gearbox from the Middle East to him and he kept me fully informed throughout the rebuild process.

Whoever you choose don't use the original plates - upgrade to cup ones. No downside as far as I am aware and much tougher than butter originals.
