I'm going to dedicate a song to PH on my uni radio show next week if anyone's interesting, but what should it be? Something petrol-veined, of course. What do you guys want from this list?

-Bruce Springsteen - Thunder Road
-Bruce Springsteen - Born To Run
-Deep Purple - Highway Star
-Deep Purple - Speed King
-Rush - Red Barchetta
-Metallica - Motorbreath
-ZZ Top - If I Could Only Flag Her Down
-Judas Priest - Freewheel Burning (this one's for Deris.)
-The Alarm - The Road
-White Zombie - Black Sunshine
-Dio - I Speed At Night
-The Stone Roses - Driving South (for the northern PHers off to Brunters)

ury.ac.uk if you're interested.

So, what should it be, people?

I reckon you should change the Metallica on to Fuel, and the White Zombie one to Rob Zombie's Dragula (cause it's a cool song).

And the Judas Priest one to Hell Patrol, because that's where my username comes from.

I'm interesting, does that mean the song is dedicated to me or PH?

And Stone Roses btw, I'm an indie boy

How about Jimi Hendrix - Crosstown Traffic? Hopefully PH'ers don't drive like that though.

It's got to be:

Highway To Hell - ACDC

I do love Springstein's 'Born To Run' though. It always makes me think of motorbikes and the open road though.

Or ... be true to the genre and play the Hendrix Experience doing 'Drivin' South' from the 1967 Radio One broadcast.

Crosstown Traffic (Hendrix), I had my first car crash to that tune. I had just lost my virginity and had a joint to celebrate, a woman in a Citroen BX destroyed her car against my 1968 Morris Minor which only sustained a broken indicator.

I remember feeling really really happy. When I hear crosstown traffic, it reminds me of those days when I used to walk around barefoot and large it around in my Morris. It was the actual essence of driving joy and love of life. Films go about 30% of capturing those moments, freedom and pure joy.

Brilliant

"Born to be wild"....Steppenwolf.....

Get your motor runnin'
Head out on the highway
Lookin' for adventure
And whatever comes our way
Yeah Darlin' go make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once
And explode into space

I like smoke and lightning
Heavy metal thunder
Racin' with the wind
And the feelin' that I'm under
Yeah Darlin' go make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once
And explode into space

Like a true nature's child
We were born, born to be wild
We can climb so high
I never wanna die

Born to be wild
Born to be wild

Wow I might go with : RUSH- Red Barchetta.

If I recall the begining of the song is about the spirt of a Pistonhead and his car being passed down to the next generation.

If you can keep it under 100 listening to that you are a better man than me...
