Hi folks,
It's been a few years since I've been on this forum so thought I would share my recent purchase. I actually bought it on New Years eve but it needed a few jobs doing and so has only been on the road the last few months. I've always wanted a V8 and know my way around ZT's so when this one came available within my budget I couldn't resist. It's a mk1 model, vin #073, which I think is the prettier of the models, and an SE spec so has all the extra's that were available. It's also Monogram paintwork in supertalic Garnet Red and according to the MG build info, only 3 ZT260's were built in this colour and mine is the only mk1! It's not a garage queen and has been well used by it's previous owners so not perfect, but still looks good for a 12 year old car. It also has Zero back boxes fitted and the sound is pure filth!

bet the sound is deafening without boxes!
Ha ha, I actually meant back boxes from www.zeroexhausts.co.uk. Not deafening but they certainly let you know its a V8!I thought I'd posted this in Readers Cars???
Yes, I saw Iain's BRG one recently and it prompted me to share mine. I used to be on here many years ago with my quite highly developed MX5 turbo but I can't find my old details anywhere.
No immediate plans for the 260 other than some sympathetic restoration of the mechanicals. I think these type of cars hold their value more when they're not too molested. It could do with more power but a supercharger installation would cost more than I paid for the car, but I would like to do some mild NA mods to the intake/heads/cams when funds allow. I still have my mx5 turbo which should push out well over 300bhp/tonne when it's finished so that will be my power fix
Rich.
