Probably shouldn't be asking this on here. Had blood taken from my arm on Monday. Today woke up with a bruise the size of a credit card and a dull pain. Is this normal?

Some people get bruises, others not so much.

Give it a few days and see how it goes.

Bruising varies person to person.

I have blood taken regularly and found that not flexing my arm for a couple of hours afterwards stops most of it. If it is some serious bruising and taking a while to disappear (4-5 days), go to the doctors. Heavy bruising can be a sign of low platelets.

It's because there wasn't enough pressure placed with the gauze when the needle was taken out and it's leaked into your arm a bit. Nothing serious.

as driller and others have said it's normal -ish , perm luck of the draw, not enough pressure , pressure not on longer enough, your exact clotting state at moment
