swap foreign Aventador onto UK plates?

What costs would be involved in buying an EU registered, vat paid Aventador and then changing it to UK plates?

I mostly use my car on mainland europe anyway so I'd prefer a LHD. But its going to be somewhere between difficult and impossible for me to register, insure and so on if I buy and keep on a german or italian plate or whatever.

Looking at http://suchen.mobile.de/auto/lamborghini-aventador... its looking awfully tempting... buy one of those, change it to UK plates and then run it around Spain.... is it that simple? What sort of cost would I be looking at? I don't care about the 6 months in country rules etc, only the actual costs/logistics of the plate swap.

Thats because Sterling now buys you 1.44 euros instead of the 1.15 it did a few years ago...However this has not translated into a drop in Aventador new prices which is why Euro cars seem cheap to us.

If you want a LHD I know of one for sale, not advertised yet in Germany. Is cheaper than this too and is a proper car.
