Indeed, on the mat first thing and plenty of good reading - like the layout changes too.

This isn't really a gripe, but often, in the Regional Reports it's difficult to tie up the pictures to any relevant story because there's no room for captions. The editor doesn't even put a "(above)" or "(picture right)" to help.

For example:

I haven't read every word on that page yet....

.....but what's Top Gear's "Hammy the Hamster" doing on page 48? Who (presumably the Chimaera owner?) is that with him? What's going on?

Just found out why I might not of received mine, got the renewal form from TVRCC on Saturday morning and forgot to open it, it says that my membership renewal is now due.

I hope it's not the case, I will not be pleased as it doesn't give much chance, anyway I thought my membership was due at the end of Feb.

Grouch.

I received February's edition of Sprint magazine this morning. I would like to say how impressed I am about the new format and layout, which has turned around in just two months. I made some criticisms a few weeks back, but credit where credit is due, this is a quantum leap. First day of the month too. Most impressive.

I particularly enjoyed the editors comments on the inside front cover.

Spot on.

Can't answer exactly for you, but for February's Sprint I only received about 6 photos for inclusion with the reports. Often the photos just accompany the report as an attachment. You will see in Sprint there are a lot more photos in the Regional Reports section than 6. If it was left to just what was submitted, then there would be an awful lot of 'uninteresting' text. I think Derek puts the photos with the reports, but fills gaps with random pics in order that it doesn't look bland. I'm sure if the RO's requested a tag line with the photos it could be accomodated, but that is a question for the Editor, not the humble report co-ordinator.

Richard - thanks for responding.

As I said it's not really a gripe. And I know that I could/should take it through the proper channels if it matters to me that much.

I am mighty impressed with what's going on - there's some dedicated people doing a great job.

1. TVR Centre taking Noble because they are having difficulties getting new TVR's delivered.
2. Everybody who knows anything about the cars leaving the factory (also see Ahonen's recent post)
3. No Sagaris delivered and no race car built, but one on order now apparently?
4. Suspension of good will rebuilds of S6, will not generate much good will towards the company and is probably easily legally challenged, and therefore not good economics either
5. Rumours that Speed 6 is fundementally still not sorted, not denied by TVR but,
6. Still no real news or adequate PR supplied by TVR to PH, TVRCC or anyone else
7. No works team to LMES
Need I go on

Also new dealers coming on board.

2. Everybody who knows anything about the cars leaving the factory (also see Ahonen's recent post)

Surely some exaggeration. Staff move, it's a fact of life. Particularly designers who are in demand and highly marketable.

3. No Sagaris delivered and no race car built, but one on order now apparently?

They want to get it right before they release it?

4. Suspension of good will rebuilds of S6, will not generate much good will towards the company and is probably easily legally challenged, and therefore not good economics either

Agree that sounds silly and open to legal challenge but I haven't heard of anyone who has purchased a Tuscan from new, had the engine go pop and been refused a rebuild.

5. Rumours that Speed 6 is fundementally still not sorted, not denied by TVR but,

Rumours,rumours.....

6. Still no real news or adequate PR supplied by TVR to PH, TVRCC or anyone else

TVR's PR is and always has been appalling. That's not news.

7. No works team to LMES

So?

TVR is in a state of transition with a new owner coming in. Things are bound to change. Go and drive a new Tuscan and then say that things are falling apart. Everyone has a view on everything which is great but let's deal in facts, not rumours.
