Possibly two throttle return springs on the 500 and one on the 400.

Take 1 off and keep it as a spare, lots of people do, myself included.

Does the Chimaera generally have a stiff throttle?
I've taken one spring off witch improved it a bit but I still find when pulling off from junction's there a delay as I find the bighting point due to not wanting to over rev when pulling off if that makes any sense.

Showing my age here. In 1970 I had the same concern, but my driving instructor put his right foot on the clutch (mark 1 Mini 850) and told me, aged 17 and 2 weeks, to rev it as much as I wanted.

Fast forward to 2003, I was horrified my daughter's driving instructor had totally failed to teach her how to slip the clutch in 20 lessons. So I fired him and taught her myself.

So rev up and slip the clutch. And if you still think the throttle is sticky, change the cable.

You can unwind the return spring on the throttle assembly half a turn too, makes it a totally different car to drive.
You have to leave the unwound end resting against the hose but it does not hurt as it has the metal hose stub underneath.

Why did they do the setup differant to the 400 in the first place,seems strange when the 400 setup seems the better option from a driving perspective?

Is the 450 the same as the 400 or 500?
