Anyone going to see them at NIA Academy in Brum April 25th?....

Top band to see live......saw them last (together/and with Oleta Adams)at the NEC and gotta say they are brilliant......when it was just Roland Orzabel on his own, he just didn't seem to have that 'spark'......yet,although they have thier differences ,Kurt and Roland together on stage seem to feed of each other and genuinely look like they are having a good time performing.......just two mates in tee-shirts and jeans having a laugh and playing some cracking tunes..........

Anyone heard any stuff off of the new album yet?

My wife used to know Kurt and Ro-land quite well - she's got a pile of stuff when they were touring before The Hurting, loads of photos, birthday cards, and such from them after she blagged her way into the Midnight Express club early one night. I don't think she's seen them since the Hammersmith Odeon gig in 1986, when her friend Sally got pissed backstage and vomited in their limo. Or something. Rock and roll.

Their new album, "Everybody Loves a Happy Ending" is actually rather good, first album for a while with C and R as the two frontmen.

Had to import it though.

The Wurzels.

Nothing wrong with the Wurzels mind - a fine band. A genre all of their own.

Anyone else here a fan of ProngHorn or other such cow-punk bands?

Ahhhh...yes....Tears for Fears. "Break it down again" being my favorite track, of course done when Roland was on his own. I didn't realise that they had reformed!

OT, I got a Blow Monkey's CD the other week.....Choice. Great Stuff, but a bit now.

I thought Mother's Talk was a bit of a highlight. All the radios ever play is Everybody Wants to Rule the World, which IMO is a bit weak.

And their Mad World is much "madder" than that Mickey Mouse DIY effort last year.

They still sound very good.

I always really liked Tears for Fears. Not many froups could have a hit, change one word in the title, and have a hit all over again!
