C63 AMG badge query

Yesterday I followed a 54 plate C63 most of the way home on the A1, love these cars and a estate version is definitely on the lotto wishlist, but it was badged as a C63 AMG followed by a small 's'. Its been bothering me since getting home what it was. Tried google but no help, is it a special edition ? or just a added badge. I am 99% sure it was a S rather than a 5. Any help ?
