City Building / God type games for PC

ok well I'm getting bored of KSP, and looking for something to lose a cpl of hours a day in, and rather than a CoD type game fancy a return to the ole sim city type affair.. or even something Command and Conquer ish
however from what I remember of the last incarnation if Sim City it wasn't very good.

Any suggestions ?

Cities: Skylines should fit the bill, very easy to lose a lot of time whilst tackling traffic issues etc.

Banished is a great little game along these lines.

Anno 2070 is worth a look as well. It has city building but has a large portion of trading as well. You do build residential, industrial etc areas, but they need to have various resources linked up depending on the supply and demand of your citizens. Its not about making big cities such as Cities Skylines or Sim City, but smaller, trade orientated islands. It has lovely music as well so is nice to sit back and relax whilst still having to think a bit.

I used to love Black & White but reinstalled it lately and realised just how far graphics have come.

I wish they'd remake it to modern standards.
