Has anyone in the Reading area got efilive? Need to read my tune. Just ordering it now, but won't receive it for a short while (week or so). Would like to start investigating base tune and don't want to burn my licence on some random tune.

Hi mate if you want a tune file to look at try Holden crazy (tune file depot) then select stock tunes chev then zl1 lsa their base tune is identical to ours.
I'm a newb with efi live been tweaking my tuned GTS.
You can download and open with v7.5 no problem

As am getting a full licence, I need mine so I don't attach it to the wrong VIN before I even get the hardware smile Have played with other tune files up till now anyway, but due to a minor delay in shipping I wont get my hardware for a week or so. I am bloody impatient....

I am just south of Newbury. You would need to bring a laptop. I have misplaced mine in the move.

sure using software to look at tune downloaded from Internet doesn't use any licence. It only checks when connect V2 to car even then it asks if you want to use license etc...
If you want to look at what tune looks like and read through its fine.
I've downloaded zl1 and CTSV stock tuned and read through them to check out my GTS stock tune and how it compares.
Zero license used

It doesn't let you save any of the modifications you do on trial license. So if you are going through any tutorials, you have to keep the software open.

Until you have a licence you will have issue. But a V2 will read any compatible ECU. only to write back uses a licence. It's easy enough to do.

Found my laptop now I need the charging cable!!!!

How long does it take to read? Might be able to sort something during the week.

Once you have bought a licence does that mean you can tune all cars or just your own.

Also does it all you to adjust your own car more than once.

A licence is linked to a VIN, so you can tune one VIN per licence as much as you want. If you have an auto you need two licences though...

When you buy efi live it comes with 2 licenses
Which means x1 per car you DONOT use 2nd license for transmission it counts on license for controller.
Eg I have my e67 and t43 used one license
Have one license left for another car and it's transmission.
