I think the matt black and matt green type wraps as loved by Premiership footballers on their GT Bentleys a few years back look rather dated now. I saw a matt black Audi R8 recently and it just looked as if someone had forgotten to remove the wrap 5 years ago.

Yes, I agree, all that matt wrap stuff is dead in the water now.

I always have a look at the edges and corners etc and you can always tell or feel that its a wrap. Some are very very well applied but most not so.

The worst wrap application I ever saw was done by Revere on a £125K Range Rover.
It had little pieces of the wrap (10mmx5mm) stuck in the corners and on some edges to fill in the gaps that the main sheet had missed.

Matt paints were alright maybe 5 or so years ago. When, as noted above, footballers got in on it along with every tramp spec wannabe drift car / rate look car the appeal went for me. Finished off by manufacturers getting in on the act!
