Music : Porcupine Tree
Discussion
Related to my earlier searching for an elusive advert track that turned out to be Mogwai, i'd been plundering my library of music of that genre and came across some old Porcupine Tree stuff.
Imagine my further surprise to find they are still recording.
And to my even further surprise, I found that you can now buy their seminal "Voyage 34" on CD. A finer slice of guitar-led psychedelia, you'd be hard pressed to find.
Cracking plank twiddling by Steven Wilson backed by trippy acid synth bliss courtesy of Richard Barbieri, once of Japan fame.
Flashback-tastic.

Good to see some fellow PT fans! Saw them at the Astoria last year and they are awesome. Driving home through the night to In Absentia on very loud, memories....
Trains is probably my favourite track off that album. Signify and Stupid Dream also very good albums.
