Watched the race on the Beeb and a good race it was too. However:-

"Vettel has led the race from start to finish so far", and

"Maldonado is on for a podium finish except he isn't because of his drive through penalty"

Is this the start of a new round of Murrayisms? I hope so.

Plus the couple of minutes trying to work out why Massa's first stop was really slow, until someone realised he was serving a 5-second penalty for being out of position on the grid

I had it on in the background, not really paying attention at the time and that brought me shouting to the TV (well, phone). My initial reaction was to think he was an idiot, but I guess there's something about commentary that prevents you from thinking properly. Like you can't access your short term memory so well because you're also trying to think of the best words whilst having dramatic/confusing images poured into your eyes.

Still couldn't believe it though.

Murray Walkers commentating again? Just what is wrong with the bbc?

I mean don't get me wrong the guys a legend but he was already too long past it when he retired; trust me the amusement at his bumbling is funny for a bit, but soon turns to frustration when you're trying to follow/engage with a race.

No just a statement of fact as it's kind of relevent (that I wouldn't have seen recent BBC's coverage).

You appear to think this represents something beyond a man who likes to watch F1, please grow up.

Can't remember the guys name but he always trips up. What amazes me is that Coulthard keeps his mouth shut and doesn't correct him.

At one point he was talking about Ricciardo (I think) and said it was Vettel.

Constantly mixes team mates up. Don't understand how as he should be watching the race!

Oh and "This is crucial!"
