Restaurant St Ives ?

Depends what you're looking for to a certain extent but there are lots of choices
Many like the Porthminster Beach Cafe and it does seem to be where people gravitate to or at least want to say they have visited. Fantastic location but imo farty, over priced and the service is so so. Porthgwidden Cafe is nicer to my mind though Ive only done lunch there. Alba on the sea front has nice views and the food is ok. Blas Burger Works is excellent ( though it is mostly burgers) and the owners also run Halsetown Inn which is just outside St Ives and does cracking pub food.
Not a restaurant I know but if you fancy a pasty which you will you must try St Ives Bakery in Fore Street ( thats the one running behind the sea front ). They are the very best you can buy anywhere and I have eaten more pasties than most. I had 2 on Saturday and afterwards was both fat and happy in equal measures.
If you fancy fish n chips the ones in town are ok but do try and go to Becks in Carbis Bay which you will most likely drive past on the way into St Ives. HUGE portions and very tasty.
