Anyone tried / seen / bought this gull-wing roof?
Discussion
Just wondered if anyone out there had opted for one of these roofs and whether they're any good?

I know it's a daft question but since they aren't Lotus parts how do you know they'll be an exact colour match?

I was told they're about £700 by a friend of mine, I'm just trying to find out the price because there's a big difference between that and $3000!
Hi, I saw these at Autosport and I have to say they look absolutely fantastic, the quality of finish really is very very good, both from a paintwork point of view but also the design and functionality.
The owner of Production Glassfibre is an Elise fan, tracking a Mk1 I believe.
I think they are more than £700 though....... Nearer to £1300 painted I believe.

the colour match comes from the bodyshop whos painting...not the manufacturer of the hardtop - had about 4 areas of damage repaired to my car (starlight black metallic) in last 3 years - all perfect - cannot tell
the thing with the gull wing for me is:
1. what does it add to the std set up? security (no) waterproofness (no) ease of entry (maybe)
2. does it offer the same convenience of the soft top ? (maybe) (can you fit the panels in the boot?) (nope - in which case, why bother with T top if you ahve to decide before you leave home what you have fitted etc)
to be honest...for the dosh...IMHO its a novelty rather than something useful that adds to the car etc.....
