How much does the sp6 engine weigh???

Bit of an odd one, and not something I had ever bothered to think about until....latest edition of sprint arrives on my doormat today, and to quote: p 20 saying 'the ajp8 engine weighs in at 122kg'; now, this got me thinking that sounds a lot lighter than the supposed current lightest 6 cylinder engine the world produced by BMW and reviewed in evo mag issue 076 p. 40, which I quote 'the new BMW 630i, launchpad for the lightest six-cylinder engine in the world. probably....BMW bosses are mighty proud that their new 258bhp 3-litre engine, fully dressed, tops the scales at a mere 130kg.'

It would be interesting if anyone knows how much the sp6 engine weighs, as I doubt very much it will be more than the ajp8, then we can let the bods at BMW know that TVR actually produces the lightest 6 cylinder engine in the world, definitely, not probably!!!!

S6 is heavier than the AJP, I believe. One of the benefits of the S6 over the AJP (from TVR's perspective) is that it's cheaper to make, but this lowering of cost is for a reason.

(Could be wrong on any of this, mind)

Isn't engine weight down to the length of the crank ? So a straight 6 will weigh more than a V8.
