My other half is a Lecturer at Newcastle College, and they where looking for people to do a similar sort of role as what your wife is doing now.
It might be worth giving them a call or looking on their website. She also use to work at South Tyneside College, my brother-in-law still lectures there, and they seem to have been going through a bit of a recruitment drive too (even though they paid loads of people of in the summer).
