Anyone have any advice on a UK garage where I could look for 60's style Porsches like these in this condition?

http://duttongarage.com/Porsche-356-C~6064

I haven't stuck on a model, but I just love the stylings of these classics.
Don't have time for a big project though so trying to find one in good nick like these.

Have some ideas, but looking for experienced advice.

Pics for pics sake

Robert Barrie at http://www.robertbarrielimited.com/ is also very well connected in the early 911 scene, and sources cars in addition to his listed stock.

On the Robert Barrie theme, talk to Nick Moss of early 911. Join DDK Online too....all the 'right' guys lurk there. You're right to search out a good specialist. It's a minefield. Lots of pre impacts have been bodged over time and originality is key to your buy being a good investment.

You have to hand it to Paul, he knows how to turn a profit...the yellow E a Series T for instance....

The best thing you can do is go to DDK-online which is a Mecca for helpful, enthusiastic owners who have seen everything (and many of the cars) ten times over.

So in my quest to find my perfect 911 I've decided it's the older aircooled models I'm interested in so have been speaking extensively to Canfords and hope to dealing with them soon.

I did wonder while the stock at Paul Stephens rarely changed then I found out he has pulled in some investor money to start a paint shop which as yet hasn't materialised. Something's afoot there so I'll stick with Canfords for now

Now this has become ever so slightly more interesting .

So not only are there investors knocking on the door it turns out since the last technician left (over a year back) the only new staff are contractors who, along with the one remaining permanent guy, are made to sign gags whereby they are not permitted to talk to any so called Paul Stephens competitors.

Sounds rather ominous to me........

Is Dickie still there? He popped up again when Paul took the premises over....I was (pleasantly) surprised to see him there a year or so ago.

I have dealt with Lee Maxted-Page, Paragon and Nick Moss. They are all absolutely first class. I hear good things about Canford Classics, have met the chaps who clearly are very knowledgable, but haven't actually dealt with them yet.

Ive no Idea who Dickie is?

The man that left has started on his own I gather. Some suggestion that he was asked to invest some cash to help keep it going but wasn't comfortable as car turnover was low and moral was on the deck.

Maybe 'Dickie' has reappeared to stop it going under. I'd not want to have a car on SOR there !
