We just get on with the game in hand. It seems that the made-for-TV American attention-span sports have to feature some kind of distraction every 10 minutes.

I used to watch quite a bit of basketball (followed Orlando Magic for a while), and I used to get a bit hacked off when everything came in short bursts before yet another bloody quarter-time show.

At Elland Road at half time there is a troupe(sp?) of dancers who come one not unlike cheerleaders.

It sometimes dulls the pain.

they are proper chav clayheads and they are afectionatley known as the stoke slappers.
