2nd to 3rd gear not engaging. Polo 6R

Hey guys, long time lurker making a problem his first post. Sorry about that.

I've got a 2013 Polo TSI with about 26000 miles on the clock. All week I've been having a problem with changing from 2nd to 3rd, it just grinds and refuses to engage, however if I take my foot of the clutch and try again, it engages fine.

Any ideas? I'm open to the idea that it's driver error

Synchromesh problem?

Sounds like you're having to double-declutch to change gear.
