Help me identify this steering rack

I've found an old steering rack in the latest garage clear out:



It's marked as MOWOG CH, so is obviously off something BMC / BL ish, but Google doesn't turn up anything obvious apart from some guy asking the same question about the rack on his car he's just bent, with no answers. Here are the other markings:





The part numbers are 133271 and 133273 if they're not clear.

Any thoughts?

Maybe this might get more of a response in the Classic Cars section - mods, would you move it please?

God knows but it's one that was secured by U bolts, a la Triumph Spit. It looks very similar to that, if my memory from 20 years ago can be relied upon, which it clearly can't. I can't remember what I gad for lunch, so steering racks from 70s cars are a long shot.

I'd check whether it's any good before going to any trouble, it's been replaced for a reason, and in the old days steering racks did not seem to be as durable.

Check for play there should be none.

Looks a lot like a Morris 1000 one to me.

If it is, I have no idea how I got it. I was mostly into Triumphs in the '80s, so it wouldn't have surprised me to find a Stanpart logo, but I never bothered with Minors. There's an Operation Yewtree joke in there somewhere...

It does look very similar.
Austin/Morris/Triumph/MG did a lot of parts bin sharing so it could easily be a triumph part as well.
