650c tyres

I've just dug out my orbea road bike from the garage and after 10 years it needs new tyres as there cracked.

Chainset etc is 105 and that all seems fine.

So what do you recommend in 650 size, ideally I want puncture proof more than low weight.

Out of interest, are you a) not very tall or b) someone who did triathlons 10 years ago ?

Yes and yes , 5'8 and I did a tri in 2005 maybe 2006 and since then the bikes sat in the garage.

I didn't like cycling , the roads are too busy and you can't help but hold traffic up, however I live in a awesome area for cycling and a few people I know cycle so plan is to go out with them.

Essentially I'm lazy hence why I go to crossfit as once I'm there I have to work hard for a hour,left to my own devices I normally find the quickest I can go with the minimum effort;)

There's nearly a legitimate reason for a bike with 650C wheels if you're under 5'2... But there was a period about 10 years ago when 650c wheels were all the rage with triathletes because "they accelerate faster" or some other nonsense. I think they've given up on all that and moved on to aero frames and compression tights now.

Whats with the compression tights??? Ive seen more and more riders around here wearing long socks,i was informed they were comp tights.
