Mysterious mark on the paintwork....?
Discussion
It looks like a finger smear of something - glue? Or heaven forbid - brake fluid?
Is it layered on top or eaten through the lacquer?
Paddy will probably have a sensible answer, but if soapy water and your favourite car polish and cloth don't work, I'd be looking for some more professional help!

It could be something as innocent as tree sap. Do the raised bit pick off?
Try some of this. I've found it to work help on tree sap, especially if its still sticky.

If it is tree sap.....I have used WD40 to remove marks like this previously. Did so on my Merc and Beamer recently....but I have NOT done so on an Aston....... Just FYI.
Thanks Brin - I actually try WD40 but it didn't work. What did work however was Auto Finesse Oblitarate, I have no idea what it was but I'm pleased to say it's gone!
