Hi Chaps,

I'm in the process of trying to sort out space in my garage in order to fit the new car in - I'll be collecting it in the next few weeks. Old one was an Elise, so there was a bit more space around the car! I have 7 pushbikes as well as the families and all the other things that you would usually get in a garage - everyone has two chainsaws right??

If anyone has the exact dimensions I'd appreciate it as I don't want to rely on the likes of Wikipedia.

Thanks

Jez

Whatever the dimensions, the Cerb has one of the longest car doors I have ever seen, and getting out of the car will be a trial unless you can open the door easily. It doesn't take long before you park at the opposite end of a car park to everyone else, just to ensure that no one parks too close to your drivers door to enable you to get in. Climbing across from the passenger side, whilst possible, is pretty tricky as well.

From the owners hand book

Length overall 4310 mm
Wheelbase 2566 mm
Width overall (Inc. mirrors) 1865 mm
Height overall 1220 mm
Front Track 1464 mm
Rear Track 1470 mm
Ground clearance 130 mm
Fuel capacity 67 litres, 15 gallons
Weight 1100 kg

Whlst my cerb fits in my garage nicely with about a metre either side this is in a new build property with detached garage i still put padding on the walls as as said the doors are long but even fully open they dont offer as much room to get in and out as normal car and you develop a unique technique.

Whats horrible is when people who have never been in one before open the doors thinking they go further then they do.

buy some of those longer foam cigar shaped floats for swimming pools. Attach those to the walls of the garage where you park the car to avoid any damage to doors, bonnet etc. Works a treat.

I have it on good authority that most people who drive TVR's are festively plump!

Thanks chaps, very useful. Garage is 20x12, but it's just a case of fitting everything else in. Already sold one mountain bike!

Cerbera's are a lot bigger than an Elise then! Elise is 3726 long and 1700 wide.

So, the Cerb is 2 feet longer and six inches wider.

No walls, just racking for a lot of stuff. I will be throwing some of that stuff away.

At least the Cerbera won't be hit by my canoe - that's now in Whitstable! Yes, I did have a bodyshop repair as a result...
