There were about 30 of them in Brixton at the weekend, nearly all on litre sports bikes, wearing this:

They were nearly all black. Plenty of look-at-me behaviour like banging off the rev limiter and pulling wheelies. Anyone know what NWB stands for? Why the number 14? Why spell Ride wrong? They have their own site plus tons of pics on FB, Instagram and Twitter, but with no clue as to what they're all about.

Bike club for black people in urban areas, by the look of things. The "about us" section of their website isn't terribly illuminating.

Trying to be a British version Of Ruff Ryders by the looks of it. I think their motto is "Ride or Die" as well.

I doubt they ever go round corners. Just town riding with a burnout now and again. A great use for a sports bike.

It doesn't really matter though

If thats how they get enjoyment out of their bikes then so be it.

Good on em.

They'd be much happier on a GS.

I think NWB is pretty easy to suss out. Remember NWA? These have bikes rather than attitude.

I reckon that if they went on a proper ride out then they'd be the sort who'd be 10 minutes behind, 5 minutes into the "ryde".

I thought it was our local forum for local people, North West Bikers, who also have NWB hoodies. However, I think that they are able to spell "ride" correctly, and given the location, Brixton would seem a little far afield, unless someone had a dodgy satnav.
