I'm surprised there isn't a topic for this already, does Pistonheads just not like the franchise? Or is it looking too "Speedhunter" for most people here?

Well I love all that & think it's looking pretty awesome. Few new videos just came out today.

Graphics look incredible (there's a brief gameplay video somewhere on youtube) & I personally am really liking the choice of cars revealed so far. Looking as though November's gonna be a very busy month for videogames. What with this, Fallout 4 & Battlefield with Lasers all coming out quite close together.

Been keeping one eye on it, but will reserve judgement until it is released so maybe around Christmas purchase for me. I hope they add in more slower cars like the earlier NFS games rather than supercars - Underground 2 remake anyone? Remember a Peugeot 106 could be a starter car!

I'm sure it'll have a fair selection of less powerful cars & even they will probably be ones you can, & would want to, modify to be able to compete with the much faster cars.

The original Most Wanted was the quintessential one for me, when they first used real pre-recorded engine noises & used them in the game. The Gallardo sounded outstanding.

Ah had forgotten about Most Wanted, that was another good one. I seem to remember the customisation out of the main story was quite good and you could freely mod them - Hours of fun.

As long as the new one has plenty of options for those things it will be good enough.

Will prob be standard EA affair cut loads of the bone and the 'meat' will be day one pre-order dlc and planned dlc down the line making a £40 game into £80-120 game.

I hear that there will be no manual shifting? if that turns out to be true I won't be purchasing as I hate auto shifting in racing games.

I can get over EAs obvious further payments schemes, I can get over it being auto only (I do like manual but can live with auto & yeah I've heard it probably only have auto as well) but if they include a "EA catch up" toggle option that does nothing, I'm gonna be greatly unimpressed.

Don't get me wrong, I know it's an arcade game and it's a way to keep the races from being too one sided but when I'm dominating the other racers in career mode, they're spinning out, crashing into st, just not as fast and I'm having some great laps, the last thing I wanna see is the idiot that rear ended a huge semi truck 10 seconds ago miraculously re-appear 5 feet behind me and then sling shot past me 500 yards from the finish line.

Yeh I hated that in The most recent hot pursuit and it was very annoying in the underground games when you were leading by a large margin and make one mistake and you're last.

IF the initial vanilla content is as full as underground 1 & 2 i'd be happy purchasing it but like I say the auto only is a turn off even if it is an arcade game I like to decide when to shift.

I've got it pre-ordered anyway cause it's been a while since I played a NFS game & I do remember hot pursuit still being quite fun.

& if it does suck then, well, I guess Fallout 4 and Laser Battlefield will have to compensate for it, quite easily I'm hoping.
