Hope someone can help. I had my rear discs an pads replaced only in March and the front were fine, at the same time I had a full service which included brake fluid change. Whilst getting new rear tyres put on we noticed a slight weep from the bleed nipple on the nearside rear caliper. This was slackened off an tightened back up with no more leak. I've checked the brake fluid and its sat nicely towards the max level (well above min). Anyway short story long when I press the brake occasionally I get a warning as per the picture (not taken by me whilst I was driving of course smile)

At first I panicked thinking my brakes wouldn't work but after a few hardish stops they're still working fine and no, the handbrake wasn't on either.

I've checked all the calipers for signs of leaks and re-checked the fluid level. Weird thing is it seems worse first thing on a morning I.e. Comes on nearly every time I press the brake but on an afternoon when driving home it might come on once briefly then doesn't come on again...... dodgy sensor perhaps ?

I don't think monaros have pad wear markers ?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

If fluid level has not changed then it sounds like a sensor problem , I've not checked mine is there one in the reservoir , could that be the fault , as I'm assuming that rather than abs , and is it sane warning as handbrake on sensor ?

The handbrake on warning is just the little red brake symbol. It doesn't give the big brake warning in the middle, although I've never pulled he handbrake up whilst driving along to find out....

Yep guess its handbrake as they don't have any pad sensors

If you put the handbrake on and drive it will show you the same warning I think plus loads of bleeping , if they tighten your handbrake in the service maybe it's too tight and partly on ?? , also see if you have a sensor in the brake reservoir I can't remember , and as above you don't have break pads sensors , other thought is is it an intermittent abs fault I'm thinking if you are getting the centre warning light plus bleeding its more likely to be hand brake , some times cables get stuck in runners near rear calipers
