Further to my other thread and reply that I am also looking for a watch for my wife too and I came across this on one of those members only sites that goes along the name of the 'ohnot so Secret Sales.com'.

Some quick googling and it seems to be a limted edition from 2012 but there is not a huge amount of information on it. Being an impulse buyer I pulled the trigger.

A Hublot Classic Fusion- In addition Secret Sales have a further 25% discount today by way of a a code so total price charged is £1603

There is no mention that it is pre-owned but have a feeling if it is a 2012 watch it may well be.

Aslso slightly dubious as to authenticity however over on the Christopher Ward forums people have had positive expereince with this company in regards to getting a branded watch which turned out to be the real deal.

Once I get it, the first thing I will do is go and get it checked for authenticity.

If it does turn out to be a dud then I will request a refund from the site as the first port of call.

Secondly I paid by credit card so may be able to request a charge back via the CC if the company dont play ball. ( though It may not work as the website use a 3rd party intemediary payment process company).

So will it turn out to be the real thing or a just a long excercise in getting a refund?

Watch this space.....

Secretsales dont sell fakes. I personally know the two owner brothers. What you have bought is a used watch though. Still seems cheap!

Good to know - thanks . It puts my mind at rest a little.

Though a bit naughty of them not mentioning it is pre-owned.

Well they have said its a 2012 model so guess that covers thembut yes I see where you are coming from.
Used Watches and handbags have recently become a huge part of their business model and they seem to be doing pretty well from it. Thier used Hermes, LV, Prada etc handbag sales are referred to as "vintage" handbags. Not exactly vintage as they are only 3-4 years old but the ladies are not complaining as most bags are 7-8/10 in condition and around 30% off boutique prices! Some Hermes they sell are practially unavailable so good deals!

My girlfriend bought a Rolex Datejust from them, was 100% legit. I think she also got an additional discount with a voucher code. Congratulations, looks like a nice watch, I love Hublots.

The 2012 year what I found myself by googling but it never mentioned it on the description.

Let's see what turns up and if it comes in box or not as it is meant to be a gift so without box and papers I will be quite disappointed.

Did you not think of emailing the company for clarification of all these points before ordering?

I know I would have done to firstly just see if I got a response, and secondly to have everything agreed in writing before purchace, I'd not want to be sitting there after purchase wondering what was going to turn up & whether it was in a box or not...

Hope all goes well for you anyway!

Their TrustPilor reviews look ok so thats a good start!

Your are right - I should have done that but with secret sales its time sensitive and with the extra 25% discount for that do only I didn't think I would get a response.

Either way I'm covered by the distance selling regs and from other posters comments I think what will turn up should be what I was looking for ...

Will keep people updated ....

Not a fake from the info supplied.

It's a Quartz, so will be accurate and can be left off the wrist and still run, but it will tick.

If I remember rightly the rubber strap is cut when sized, so if the previous owner has a smaller wrist than your wife you may need an expensive - un-sized strap.

It is a case size for a woman, not silly small and not too big.IMHO

It is still a lot of money for a pre-owned, discontinued, Quarts watch though, also does it come with its box and paper work as this will make a differance in the money you get back if and when you decide to sell.
Word to the mummy fker.

Terribly sorry. I watched Human Traffic last night. Translated the above means that I strongly agree with my fellow member's comments.

I would have just deleted my first post, because in explaining it and leaving it, to the casual observer it might seem that you like your comment and want it left there which I can't believe you want for one moment!

UPDATE:

The watch arrived yesterday.

It came all boxed and packaged. Even the watch had the plastic covers protectors on it. Watch looks brand new though probably just been serviced and polished up .

I took it to Hublot and they confirmed it's genuine. While at the shop saw some other great watches and are on our future purchase list.

Annoyingly though the shop assistant had a real attitude problem- no one else in the store but she acted like a right cow!

Won't be purchasing my future watch from that store.

Overall am pleased with the purchase - for an everyday watch which will get day to day abuse it will be ideal for my wife. As an introduction to hublots it definitely has made us want some of their other models - it's by no means a collectors watch even though it is a limited edition with only 500 of these made but at £1600 it was worth it .
