Dashboard cover

I am going to put the cover back with Velcro as suggested by a couple of people. If you have done this, did you remove the bolts from the panel/cover or keep them in place please? Obviously without the nuts or wing nuts!

Keep the bolts, they make useful locating dowels.

I tried this recently and could not get the velcro to stick properly even when the vinyl was cleaned.
Instead ive left the rear passenger side nut off and left the other 2 fixings hand tight, i can now get the dash off in under 5 minutes, its easy when you know where the fixings are and have practised a few times.

Blimey seriously how often do we remove the dash top? fit the nuts or thumb nuts it's only a 5 minute job and I have fingers like sausages

My dash facia falls in at the top ,there must be retaining clips missing .Does anyone have any pictures ?

Agree with what you are saying and its fairly rare 5 or 6 times in 6 years. I can never remember where they are and end up spending longer finding them than taking them out!
