My 2002 986 Boxster started making a funny noise on the way home, a clicking noise. Luckily i was only 1/2 a mile from home. When i stopped there was a smell of Antifreeze and the coolant level had dropped, i could see steam coming from the drivers side air intake and there is a small puddle of coolant on the floor under the engine. Im thinking fuel pump (well hoping its not IMS) do these symptoms fit in with a FUBARD water pump? Anyone hazzard a guess?

IMS is not likely to cause steam and certainly not the fuel pump! Possibly the water pump or maybe a split header tank as both are known faults. Either way, don't drive it until you've investigated further.
