Glass key - frightened of dropping, so rarely in car.

Plastic keys - kept in bank coin bags.
They are about the same quality as the awful keys.

I'll be interested to see what people suggest for a pouch/case. I only use the glass key, I like the feel of it, the plastic ones just feel cheap and orrible. biggrin

I use my glass key in my DD. I don't see why I would keep it nice for the next owner but I do try and look after it.

My dealer gave me a nice pouch (not AM official but ones they had made up for their own cars) when I had my car serviced = to be honest it is a bit of a faff getting it in and out of said pouch and there is a danger of dropping it when doing so!

AML Leather ECU key pouch http://www.astonmartin.com/en/shop/car-accessories...

Got mine from a fellow PHer when he sold his DBS. Might be a bit pricey but good protection for the key which is far far more expensive if needs replacing.

I use the OEM leather ECU pouch, one of the later ones with the magnetic snap-over cover.

The key just looks right when in the dash, I'd rather use it than worry about breaking it.

That said, if you are the world's clumsiest chap and your phone is smashed to hell, I'd consider some sort of bubble wrap cover!

Just tried this (below) as a ton for the Aston one is a bit much (and I keep losing them - silly b system)!

Will report back troops - but looks good for protecting just the plastic one!

I use the glass key (you only live once) and the AML pouch which I think is a poor design.

I was planning to reach out to Ettinger to see if they'd be willing to have a go at something better.

I tried the AM one, but it is too big and clumsy. I have a little one given to me by the dealer when I bought the car with a DBS logo on it. I'd rather have V12V, but they never made one. I use the CF key in the week and the glass one at weekends.

I was just thinking the same thing ...usually my pockets are not full of nasty sharp stuff and they are lined with soft material

I might have a glass faced phone in one pocket and car key in another...oh and wallet in hip pocket

I dont use a case for my phone, so certainly not bothered about the car key wink

I use these too. Just cut off the chain. Great and cost buttons.

Fresh of the fast boat from China to hold my plastic key that has just had a new rubber panel and case (£70) (really looks premium now frown ):

Its a little bulky compared to the snug Aston one, so less easy to lose and >bonus< we are eating out tonight with the £95 I savedbeer

Rip out that rivet holding the chain asap so you dont scratch the key.
