DIY wheel kerbing fix
Discussion
I always end up getting one or two minor scrapes on my wheels. Not being inclined to the cost/hassle of professional refurb and always aware of the risk of doing it again a month later (Doh!) I fix them myself.
For anyone who is interested, the best colour match I have found for standard 981 wheels is Toyota Silver Steel - available from your local Halfords. (If you need a primer, use white)
Very pleased with the result. 95% good as new.

Do you grind them smooth first? If so, any tips on how you do that?
IMO the less "preparation" you have to do, the better. But sometimes there will be rough edges. I use a Dremel with miniature grinding wheel to reduce any alloy burrs, finish with fine emery paper, wash with methylated spirits and then prime/paint. It may not sound sophisticated but it works for me!Gassing Station | Boxster/Cayman | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
