BMW Z4MC-minor modifications.

Just got some Eibach lowering springs and Apex alloys fitted. Thoughts?

I've never been a fan of lower springs, but yours definitely doesn't look any worse for it.
Wheels are a big improvement over the dual 5 spokes.
Nice motor! I'm after a Z4C myself, few and far between to choose from!

The lowering is very subtle, 20mm front and 10mm rear. The idea was preventative medicine as the OEM spring tend to give in around 40-50k miles (mine is on 47k). Plus the Eibachs are supposed to offer a marginally improved ride.

18 months. It's a fantastic little car. It replaced a 996 C4S as a fun second car. I loved the 911 but the Z4MC is a lot more fun and strangely more practical!

You are asking more of the dampers though, particularly if they are old. Z4Ms are pretty hard on dampers, I would have fitted some Bilstein B6s too.

Ok here is the parts listing:

2x Front 18 x8.5 Apex ARC-8 ET38 Hyper Silver
2x Rear 18 x 9.5 Apex ARC-8 ET22 Hyper Silver
2x Front Goodyear Eagle F1 Tyres 235/40/18
2x Rear Goodyear Eagle F1 Tyres 265/35/18
4x BMW centre caps
Eibach Pro Springs for Z4M (20mm drop front 10mm drop rear)

I have had no rubbing at all with the above set up so you should not need spacers. I did have a full Hunter Geo done though after fitting. Your original wheel bolts will be fine so these can be swapped over.

I got everything ordered and fitted through Indigo based in Wales ([e-mail] or 01495 719 720 ask for Antony). Their customer service was absolutely brilliant, even organised shipping of my old wheels back to my home address!
