Apart from having to be on Orange, they're great.
No longer Orange only...

It's made by the same company that make the Orange only version, but with a few cosmetic changes (e.g. replacing the rocker control with a button joystick)
How does it compare to the P900?
I have finally come to the end of my tether with the P900, it is just one long string of badly implemented badly thought out excuses for features - rubbish diary, limited backup of contacts, no facility for backing up SMSs, Tellytubbies filesystem that won't even let you copy files into the "wrong" directory, buttons stopping working, memory leaks, lack of real world useability. Latest is its total inability to work properly with my bluetooth headset. Sony Ericsson totally uninterested in any bugs or problems other than selling the P910 (guess the P900 was the betatest version
). Can't believe I paid so much for it.
So, it's going on ebay and I'm buying a new phone, I can't wait the 6 months until the contract ends or I will end up throwing it at the wall.
So, comparison between the 2?

I'm suprised to hear that, I'm loving mine. Admiditly it's the P910, but I didn't think the software had changed that much between the models. It might be worth persevering as I reckon it's the best multifunction device out there at the mo. I use mine for web browsing, mp3 player, personal email (POP3), work email (push), IRC, photos, MAME arcade emulation, file back-up, and of course the fully outlook synchronised calendar, contacts, notes etc.
If your software is buggy then you might need an upgrade, which should be available from Carphone Warehouse or the suchlike FOC.

Thanks. I've really tried with it, but there are a lot of things that I find annoying about it. Might try to get an upgrade for the firmware, but I don't hold out much hope. Seems to me that phone companies don't bother supporting these days, just encourage you to buy the replacement 6 months on. Neat trick, getting the general public to do your beta testing for you (Nokia started that with the 7110 a few years back, I managed to get one of the first before they got recalled and it really was a bag of the proverbial!)
