BK - Long Deluxe Cheeseburger - genius

Since the dawn of time fast food joints using two beef patties have stacked them atop one another. Now Burger King has placed them side by side in an absolute stroke of genius!

(Disclaimer: no idea if it's been done before )

I'll be trying one of these at some point, they're cheap too. Om nom nom.

Would like to try only snag is we don't have a BK near by.
I quite enjoy a bacon XL burger from time to time - if someone would open one within 10 minutes!!!

about 7-9 years ago when they had more baguettes on their menu they had the Montery Melt, it was my favourite but sadly they discontinued it. It basically was a beef burger in a baguette, with red onions a peppery sauce (or was it peppery cheese). was very nice.

Is the roll on the side as well? So it's like a Big Mac but at ninety degrees? Sounds intriguing.

How do you know it's a stroke of genius if you have never tried it? Do you think (when you get around to trying one), that you'll get a sore neck?

I had a long deluxe BK in Belgium a few years ago. Very nice, but the xl bacon double retains its spot as the BK champion.

Yes the long cheeseburger has arrived (double cheeseburner on a royale bun) but it has caused the untimely death of the long rodeo burger

Bring back the long rodeo king deal!

I think having the burgers side by side ruins the burger to bun (and other crap) ratio.

I like my burgers meaty, so stacking them on top of each other gives more meat and less bun/salad/crap for each mouthful.

Sometimes I even go "skinny" and do without a bun, not for my diet but just because the bun is a low value food item and I only grace my mouth and digestive system with high value proteins and caviar and stuff.

XL Bacon with BBQ sauce is a meat treat.

No1 Hall of Fame is still the Mushroom Double Swiss.
They did a similar thing recently but it was a poor relative.

Whopper scale burgers should be no less than triple, or quadruple (one side order of extra beef, please). And XL onion rings because any other size serving comes at a considerably greater cost per unit.

I'm also failing to understand the appeal of a greater bread to burger ratio. If I wanted more bread it would have to be two double burgers next to each other. When they offer the long deluxe double I'll give it a go.

Rubbish. The whole idea of having a double is having a massive wedge of juicy meat stacked in the middle!! Putting 2 SBS just gives you too much bread - you might as well buy 2 separate burgers.

XL bacon double with a load of sauce between the burgers is where it's at. All they need to do to get me going in is doing a XL double Royale! - id be all over that!

Somebody mentioned rodeo....yum I love a few onions rings in a burger!

You're clearly a connoisseur, XL Bacon Double with BBQ sauce is awesome and Mushroom Double Swiss a sorely missed classic.

Single cheeseburger works out to about 90p here in Sweden, so anytime I'm near a drive thru I try and swing past for 4 of them.
