350 Petrol

335i petrol

Having had a quick look the Mercedes seems a bit more expensive especially when you compare spec on the two above.

With the diesels Performance wise you're looking at a 330d rather than the 335d & again the prices seem to be on a par.

Have started looking at E350 Coupes. Seems possible to buy a low mileage 2012 car for about £20k. This seems very cheap compared to say a similar BMW. Any reason for this?
Thanks for your input.
It has been massively dated by the facelift, reason behind the fact I wouldn't buy a pre facelift tbh. Thanks for your input.

I've heard people compare the E coupe with the 6 series many times. It is really a closer match for the 3 series coupe, despite MB also having a C coupe in the line up.
The E coupe shares it's chassis and many parts with the C class and not actually with the E class.
It was overpriced to begin with (only a c class in drag) and has suffered pretty significant depreciation considering the list price.

Had thought this was a step above a 3 Series. Sounds like I was wrong.
Car I am considering (diesel) cost buyer about £45k with extras and was listed around £50k, so seems a real bargain at £20k.
Point about facelift seems very valid...
The interior quality is a marginal improvement over the 3 series competition, which is on par with the C class Coupe.Car I am considering (diesel) cost buyer about £45k with extras and was listed around £50k, so seems a real bargain at £20k.

I would say the E Class coupe fits somewhere between a 3 series and 6 series coupe but what does it matter anyway ?
I don't see depreciation as any worse than other cars of similar ilk.
I owned a 6 series coupe some years ago and grew to hate it, mainly because of the awful ride quality. I assume more recent cars are improved.
I've recently bought a nearly new E350 coupe which I much prefer.

BMW 4 series from 30k
BMW 6 series from 59k
Merc C Coupe from 30k (New model to be announced next month)
Merc E Coupe from 38k.
I'd pin the E Class above the 4 series but certainly not in 6 series territory. More equivalent to a 5 series coupe if one existed.
I'd certainly put the C Class Coupe alongside the 4 series however.
