Adding senders

Has anyone added senders to their engine? I've just been bitten by one of the sandwich type blocks that goes between the pan and filter, so am slightly shy of those now...the blanking plate above the filter seems like a good place to put sensors, but I don't think there's room for two senders there (at least not including a fat pressure sender). Could add an elbow I suppose, but it's more points of potential failure. I really liked having engine temperature and pressure whilst I had it, very useful info.

FWIW I was seeing about 30 psi hot idle, and the oil was reaching about 100'C cruising. The oil gets up to temp about 5-10 miles after the coolant! Thankfully I caught the leak from the sandwich/senders early enough that I don't think I've done any damage, but it was brown trousers time!
