Anyone got this yet? Not heard of it before tonight, but really like the look of it and the reviews are all good...plus it's only £12.79 until 24th August.

Will probably download it later, but would be good to hear what people think.

Saw a trailer for this last night and bought it immediately. I haven't played it yet but really looking forward to tring it tonight. The English village setting looks really interesting. I'm purposely avoiding all reviews and finding out anything about it because I want it all to be a surpirse.

I've ordered it because £12 or so is worth it even if it's just for pretty graphics. It does look lovely.

Read a few comments that the actual polish isn't that great , pop in etc...but i don't have a PS4 (don't ask why i was reading about it).

Here's a quick look by Giant Bomb - they are usually not too bad about serious spoilers but it will be part way through the game:-

I bought it a couple of days ago and some initial thoughts:

- Very atmospheric and captures 80s Britain well.
- It's not a game in the traditional sense, more of a visual story tale. Personally, that does not bother me, I had read about it before release so expected this.
- Ideally, it would have a bit more interactivity with some of the objects in the game.

Watched a playthrough of this on youtube. It is utterly insane and like nothing I've ever come across before.

I'd advise anyone delving into this 'game' (there's controversy if it even is a game!!) to forget EVERYTHING you knew about gaming and to go in with an open mind.

Overall from watching the playthrough it is utterly brilliant and ticks boxes for me I didn't know I wanted ticking:

- Set in England (rural Shropshire no less) in 1984 with absolutely brilliant attention to detail right down to red phone boxes, Ford Granadas/Fiestas, cottages/houses with fantastic interior detailing + a whole myriad of ‘twee’ touches. Honestly it is astoundingly well crafted visually.
- Weird. Very weird! Like you the player have just missed the event(s) (whatever they are) and are (for whatever reason) wandering around this idyllic setting gathering clues as to what has happened.
- Non-linear (I think). From what I can see this is a sprawling open world that starts in a village and expands to more of Shropshire (albeit a fictional rendition) which allows you to choose to a point the way things are revealed, played out etc.
- Mesmerising and perfectly timed soundtrack that fits in with whatever is happening at the time.
- Weird. Did I mention it’s WEIRD?! Had me on Vimeo afterwards watching the 80s film Threads which I knew nothing about until reading reviews for this game.

Just. Play. It.

Bought this last night and loving it so far.

Like others have said before, the lighting is amazing in this game as well as the music.

Well worth a look.

Heard lots of people complaining about the movement speed, so when someone else pointed out you can run by holding down R2 it silenced a few. It takes a while to build up speed, but useful when you're backtracking.

I guess I'm the only one who read this is "everybody's golf..." and got excited at the return of my favourite ps1/2 golf game frown.

Downloaded it last night and 'played' it for an hour or so - I LOVE the setting of it (the main reason I wanted to buy it really), and the graphics / lighting are fantastic. Not so sure about the movement, seems a little clunky to me at times, and the R2 button doesn't always seem to speed things up.

It's certainly very different to anything I've played before, and whilst I understand it is about investigating the surroundings, listening in to old conversations etc to piece together what happened, I guess you couldn't really call it a 'game' in the normal sense of the word - seems to be more like watching a TV drama but being in control of how and when it plays out.

It held my attention for the couple of hours that I 'played' it anyway, so will definitely go back to it.

Now if only we could have a Grand Theft Auto set in the UK with this quality and detail of surroundings, I think my gaming life would be complete.

That is exactly what I thought as I tried to climb into a Montego. I'll definitely play it again, and unlike GTA it does actually appeal to my girlfriend so it's a less solitary pursuit.

I bought this yesterday and completed it in one sitting because I couldn't put it down, it was captivating! Took me about 5 hours and I streamed the entire thing so everyone else could join in the journey with me.

Attention to detail is fantastic, the graphics are probably the best I have ever seen in a game, EVER. They are flawless. The game itself is very very moving, and makes you really think about what's happening.

The ending though, wow. Very sudden and not very clear. Until I completely understand the entire thing and what the F! actually happened, I'm very torn.

If anyone can tell me what the heck happened in the end that'd be great.

All I got so far was that everyone IS dead. You are Kate, the last one alive. And you're exploring everything that happened(because Kate was in the observatory the entire time so she didn't get to see first hand.) You watch each characters stories leading up to their deaths when the planes came. But I'm still unsure about what the actual virus was, titled The Pattern. I am confused.

It seems to save for me automatically after I've caught one of those light things and listened to the conversation
