I think it's a very nice watch for the money.

I chose one because I wanted a dress style watch, but didn't want to spend a fortune as I wouldn't wear it that often.

Seems well made, and I think it looks good. (I went for the white faced version in the end)

It would be a daily wear for me (well days in the office), I have a 1950's vintage 18c gold Tissot dress watch and I like the idea that the logo's match etc

Great watch for the money. I have a lot of love for some Tissot models, and that is one of them.

I really like mine, my other watches are sports type (Speedy,Planet Ocean etc) and I wanted a clean neat dress watch and this fits the bill.
Has a nice clear case back so you can see the movement. Mine is on the brown leather strap which is a bit stiff and creaky still but the deployment clasp is really nice, I just need to find a good quality strap at some point to fine tune it!
Great value, great looking watch.

Edit to say mines a silver face as well as the poster above, have a look because I think it looks better.

I like the silver and the black.

I also have a 1960's Tissot SeaStar in black and gold, plus other silver faced watches so I am leaning towards the black.

I need to go and see these in the flesh.

Wore mine yesterday, black face on a milanais mesh strap, looks great to my eye. It's my everyday suit watch.

Available for around half the price on your link from Creation.

A bit cheap, but quite good for what they cost. Tissot are only a shadow of their former selves now though.

Agreed. Tissot have been moved down market aggressively from where they were in the 80s and 90s. Most of their stuff seems to be cheap quartz fashion watches. But there are still mechanical watches in their range that are pretty good value. Visodate is one of those. One of the PRS516 models was quite nice too.
It seems that build and finish quality varies across their range, so you have to pick and choose. But yeah, thumbupVisodatethumbup

That said, see the the link I posted for a couple of (better?) alternatives.

Not quite sure what you mean by "a bit cheap". If they are good for what they cost, is price an issue unless one is looking for snob value?

I like mine very much. Looks smart and (ahem) totally timeless - mine is just like Athlon's.

It was a present from my wife when we were first engaged.

I don't think it's cheap, but that said my idea of big money and this forum's idea are very different.

A bit cheap = not of the highest quality.

I would be interested to know how the quality compares with something amore expensive eg a Seamaster? Are we talking about case quality, movement quality etc. I have a quartz tissot PRS200 (i think) its case and band are easily as good quality as my brothers Seamaster, both are about 15 years old, both are worn daily, both have lost the the pip of Lume on the bezel ring

Tissot bracelets appear to be stamped out metal parts, there is very little finishing to the edges. Movements may be the same type as those used in the more expensive brands, but will be of a lower grading and will have less finishing applied.
Some of the cases are well made with good attention to detail, others much less so.

Having looked at PRC100 and 200s I personally don't think they stack up well against Omega Seamasters and I don't really like the Seamaster.

Its a shame, I really want to like Tissots stuff. They have a history of doing some very innovative stuff and making some great watches. But sadly, most of their stuff today is targeted at competing with the likes of Emporio Armani and Michael Kors.

As said, the Visodate is an exception. But I'd much rather have the Hamilton or the Orient Star from the thread linked above.

ETA
For those who don't know Tissot and Omega are both owned by the Swatch group. They are aimed at different market sectors and so one is of deliberately better quality than the other.

I realised they were the same Group. Certainly my Tissot bracelet isn't stamped out metal parts, its very well made and finished.

I don't like the Hamilton style and have never heard of Orient Star

tried one on and the thickness killed it for me. Don't understand why such a simple watch needs to be 11.6mm thick.
Apart from that a very pretty watch
Went with a intra-matic instead which is a fantasic watch.
