92 pre-cat and trying to fit an AST cherry bomb exhaust.
I'll be f
ked if I can get it on.
The Y-piece and the exhaust appear to be the same bloody diameter.
I've put an extra cut too and bottom of the Y to open it out a little, sanded out the inside of the Y piece and run a sander round the outside of the exhaust pipe.
Can't get any real pressure on the exhaust to force it into the Y-piece at the moment the best I've managed is about a half inch in the hole. (Make your own jokes)
Anyone have a wonderful secret method to get this sodding thing on before I resort to the big hammer approach??

Last time I had to do this I put eight cuts in the outer sleeve with a hacksaw, made a satisfactory union then sealed the open sections with a mig and ground it all flush.
Not sure if this was the correct way to do it but it was easy and made a successful resulting join.
