hi all,

Just after some thoughts on the puncture I found on my bike this morning. Firstly I'd not ridden it for 4-5days and it was in my garage when I found the flat tyre. I've just remove the inner tuber after finding it would not hold any air at all. The cause was a 15mm long slice in the inner tube, the strange thing is it was on the side nearest the rim and not on the side nearest the road surface.

I checked the rim and there are no sharp edges and no spokes are loose.

Another thing I noticed generally with the inner tube is that the same inner surface against the rim is worn and quite smooth, any ideas of the cause? It's mostly like the cause of the puncture but would this suggest the inner tube is moving round the rim some how ? The outside of the inner tube still has the rough markings I would expect.

Any thoughts?

Sounds like a pinch flat?

High pressure release would split it like that.
