Monaro Headlights
Discussion
Thanks for the responses guys have to say I am impressed with the LED light set up. Will be looking in to this in more detail
Sohlman I don't suppose you have the part numbers for the bulbs you ordered?
Did you need anything else in addition to the bulbs apart from the modified covers.
Have you converted your front fogs as from your other post you had not done them at the time.

Mine had an HID setup already fitted when I bought it. It works so well, with sharp beam cut-off and no perceptible 'scatter' that I initially thought that it was original equipment from new until realising that all Monaros were halogen. I had OE HID lights on my previous S2000 and the Monaro setup is just as effective. Despite there being no headlight washers or adjustable platforms for the beams they work fine; haven't been flashed by any oncoming traffic in 4 months so seems OK on that front.
I don't know who carried out the work; the ballast units are discreetly cable-tied into the engine bay.

Bluedevil.
I just changed the bulbs h9 and h11 to LED units. I think the cree units are probable better then the lumileds chip sets. Bigger covers from Kmud are just the ticket.
As for fogs I bought bulbs and on attempting to fit they were too long and would not fit inside the lights so my suggestion is don't go too long. Measure a standard h3. The all singing and dancing 25 led chip units are too long. Also changing the fog light bulbs is a bit of a pig as they where hard wired on my car and the bolts where rusted and seized requiring them to be drilled out.
The other factor is that for headlights a pure white light is advantageous, but for fog lights a yellow light is better as it does not reflect as much in fog so there is a strong case for not going down this route.
Hope this helps

Not received one, and tried sending you one. I saw someone else saying they don't work right now...
Nothing here either. I've tried emailing again, not sure that's been working either! In case anyone doesn't fancy spending £100+ on the Philips bulbs:

there are the inevitable Chinese copies on eBay:

Might be worth a punt?
