Please could any of you tell me what ECU you have?
Mine's an 8BLB, but I think it (and the engine) has come from another vehicle: probably a Sierra.

And, if you have the information, which ECU pin on yours is connected to the battery (not the ignition switch) for the Keep-Alive-Memory?

Thanks, guys.

Thanks, guys: mine's just the same. I'm now happy I've got the right ECU (not so sure about the engine though).
My car seems to be a hybrid S3/S3C; the engine wiring harness is spliced to the TVR harness, but incorrectly. In particular, the keep-alive power terminal on the ECU is connected to the engine/fuel pump circuit through an ignition-switch controlled fuse. This means the ECU can't remember anything when switched off: sort of Groundhog Day effect!
I've hot-wired it from the radio connections for now, and the 015 diagnostic signal (KAM not working) has gone away. Let's see what happens next!

Thanks, Han: not directly applicable (it shows air-flow meters, no lambdas), but interesting, nevertheless. It shows the engine relays wired to a non-switched (permanent live) fuse, and there's no apparent keep-alive power to the ECU. Perhaps S3's don't need it, as they don't have adaptive control (because no lambdas).

The diagram I'm using is the last post in this thread: Clicky. I can print it, but can't link to it directly. The wiring and colours correspond almost perfectly to my car, but being an engine-only diagram it doesn't tell me where the keep-alive power comes from!

My old J reg S3c had a Ford Falcon ECU... before being remapped with a piggy-back ECU.

Can't help with the wiring but can photograph the ECUs in my S3C and my S3. If I get the chance I'll do it this week.

Many, many thanks.

If you have the time, the inclination and the kit, please could you check if there's battery voltage on Pin 1 of the S3C ECU, with the ignition off?

Mentall, PM me your email address and I'll send you my ECU pinout list

It's not complete and possibly not 100% correct, it's just a list I made when checking the continuity of the engine bay wiring after finding a broken wire and deciding to check everything, but if your at the stage where you suspect your ECU, the wiring and even the engine ! then it might give you something to cross reference your findings against

PM sent, Marc. Please check, as there seems to be some doubt whether PM's are getting through.
