Well the good news is she passed the MOT. The bad news is the oil leak from the cracked housing!

Anyone got an oil pump for sale?

Don't worry, I'm sure someone will be along shortly with a solution. Have you tried your local Ford dealer? Bit of a long-shot but you never know. otherwise Eurocarparts will probably have one, if you can cope with the dreadful service.

Hi Bill, good to have it back on the road!clap With your job losing a bit of oil shouldn't be too much of a problem! wink
Seriously though, can you give a bit more info on where the oil is coming from? Obviously a picture would help if you can.

Why do you want an oil pump?

What an idiot! It's not an oil pump I need it's a timing cover!
The inlet manifold has been repaired at some time and there is a big lump of weld underneath just behind the thermostat housing. This has pressed down on the top of the timing cover and cracked it resulting in the oil leak.
Has anyone ever tried welding one of these covers?
Or does anyone have one for sale?

Should be weldable (by some one who knows what they're doing) or even bodgeable with Chemical Metalscratchchin

Obviously the lump that has caused the problem will need filing back a bit but so much that starts leaking!
