VJ Day flight over London

Remembering the 70th anniversary I believe there will be a spitfire, hurricane, swordfish and Dakota flyby over London today. Anyone know where they will take off from. I live in highgate and was wondering if i might be able to get some pics

ETA is 1400. Stringbag, Spit, Hurricane and Dakota followed by modern Typhoon. Got my window open for a grandstand view.

Just watched the Dakota fly straight over highgate hill. No sign of the others

Some of our aircraft are missing.

We got a Dakota followed by a Hurricane and a modern Typhoon in formation.

they came in from Thurrock and the Dakota turned north after flying over Horseguards. The Hurricane and Typhoon turned south and then headed back east whence they had come. I think they may have other duties today at Eastbourne.

Saw a Lancaster twice this weekend over downtown Toronto, being VJ day would explain it, must have been off to a flyby of some sort.

I was lucky to catch them all in one. The dakota had made its northward turn pretty sharpish and then the other two came in. Snapped a shot of them on their own and the dakota flew across the view. <click>

The Hurricane is the one that was the last built ‘The Last of the Many’ and is in SE Asia markings with the two tone blue roundels to avoid confusion between the red centre of the normal RAF roundel and the rising sun of the Japanese.
