I like the Roads database - nice work. I''ll try and contribute shortly. How about letting people submit a .PDF with more detail at some later point? Good stuff.

Thanks. Interesting point about PDF - what prompted that thought (don't know many people with facilities to write PDF documents)

Actually, you can now buy soem $40 software to make PDFs from www.fineprint.com. I've not tried the PDF stuff yet, but their print-multiple-pages-on-one-sheet software is pretty good.

Yes, well done Ted on the roads database. In a year's time, we'll wonder how we managed without it... Edited by manek on Saturday 2nd June 12:41

Well.... .DOC format is a little bulky for web use and very, very occaisionally people don't have Microsoft Word. Ummmn Good point about most people not having the stuff to create the files....I do..but then I'm a nutter. Ah well. Doesn't seem to need it anyway!

Ed - The roads database is a cracking idea, although admittedly not designed for your thriving expat community. However, whatever route I clicked on, the Lewes/Petworth road came up with an error message: Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d' Type mismatch: 'Server.URLencode' /roads/_display.asp, line 199 As I say, I rank as your least important customer but it may be a non-yank problem also

Ahh bugger. I'm on the case although I guess I'd better wait until morning cos Guinness and VBScript don't mix...
